Job Description:

The Concierge is responsible for, but not limited to, providing exceptional service and completely delighting our guests as a concierge. Concierge respond to guest’s requests with a sense of urgency and concern. Concierge is the communication and information center for guests, fellow employees, vendors, and other outside business representatives. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Complete all required brand specific training
  • Complete all required Vision University training
  • Complete all required health and safety training
  • Adhere to all Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. and property specific brand standards
  •  Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests 
  •  Proactively gather guest profile information
  • Provide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associate
  • Have professional telephone & communication skills
  • Have patience and understanding for every person encountered
  •  Keep the business functions of the company including, but not limited to financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc. confidential
  • Act on guest profile information to completely delight our guests
  • Ensure open communication with the guest service staff to communicate guest requests such as luggage requests for check-in and checkout.
  • Have knowledge of all groups and events in-house including special requirements and billing arrangements
  • Have knowledge of the area competition and the services and amenities offered.
  • Arrange flower orders coordinate payment and delivery to guest rooms
  • Attend Handover meetings in a timely manner, attentive and ready to take responsibility and ownership of issues presented.
  • Prepare a handover e-mail to ensure all pertinent information from your shift is properly documented for the next shift
  • Operate simple office equipment, keeping it in working order, if not in working order notifying manager.
  • Provide airline information and confirm guest’s flights
  • Arrange tickets for local attractions and events
  • Have knowledge of the local tours in Chattanooga and make proper arrangements for guests
  • Arrange transportation services for the guests as well as arrange the billing for the guest
  • Arrange travel arrangements for guest including but not limited to: Rental Cars; Airline tickets; Charter airplanes/Helicopters.
  • Additional duties include but are not limited to: Providing lost and found services; Store and retrieve luggage

Necessary Skills:

  • Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.
  • Must be responsible for security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assets
  • Have knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures
  • Have dependable transportation available
  • Able to communicate effectively in writing, by telephone and in person.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule
  • Is organized, honest, work well with others, and have an outgoing personality
  • Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person

Physical Requirements:

  • Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds
  • Can stand/walk on feet for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment.
  • Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far
  • Must be comfortable using a step stool or ladder
  • Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours
  • Must be able to handle heat and stress
  • Have finger dexterity for operating equipment
  • Must speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English
  • Must be able to write
