Job Description:

Housekeeper Supervisor will be responsible for managing daily Housekeeping operations in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. 

Job Requirements:

  • Complete all required brand specific training
  • Complete all required Vision University training
  • Complete all required health and safety training
  • Adhere to all Vision Hospitality Group, Inc. and property specific brand standards
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management to aid in better operation of the hotel and service to the guests
  • Provide personalized, friendly service to every guest and associate
  • Can assist the Executive Housekeeper in managing daily activities:
    • Create daily work schedules
    • Run sold room reports, verify room status, determine discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning, and update status of departing guest rooms.
    • Ensure that housekeepers have appropriate supplies and linens.
    • Inspects guest rooms and public areas to ensure the highest cleaning standards are met
    • Expedites and over sees special requests from the Front Desk
    • Serve as a team leader and see that all housekeeping staff within the work team is trained in all aspects of job, including customer service and job skills.
    • Can provide coverage for housekeeping staff and assist in the cleaning of guest rooms when necessary.
    • Calmly handle stressful situations.
    • Be the liaison in coordinating the efforts of Housekeeping, Engineering, Laundry and Front Office.
    • Ensure uniforms and personal appearance of all housekeepers is clean and professional.
    • Have a strong attention to details and the ability to recognize and correct cleaning problems with a sense of urgency as required.
    • Have a great personality and can welcome and acknowledge all guests and anticipate guest needs.
    • Can communicate professionally via radio and phone as required.
    • Can comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures and report any unsafe activities or conditions immediately to management.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned and required.
  • Personally inspect rooms and public area for cleanliness and adherence to Vision/Brand Standards
  • Report all discrepancies found on the night auditorís room report.
  • Report all incidents or strange occurrences that could be an indication of misdemeanors
  • Ensure all keys and key cards are returned to the secure designated area or front desk
  • Have knowledge of other departments and willingness to help
  • Act as liaison between front desk and housekeeping, and maintenance and housekeeping
  • Handles guest questions and comments in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Have extensive knowledge of Health and Safety procedures and training

Necessary Skills:

  • Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, employee issues, etc.
  • Must be responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow employees and hotel assets
  • Have knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures
  • Have dependable transportation available
  • Able to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person
  • Able to work a flexible schedule. We are a 24/7 business which may require work availability of nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Is organized, honest, works well with others, and has an outgoing personality
  • Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person
  • Able to work with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds

Physical Requirements:

  • Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds
  • Can stand/walk on feet for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment
  • Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far
  • Must be comfortable using a step stool or ladder
  • Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours
  • Must be able to work in extreme conditions such as heat, cold and stress
  • Have finger dexterity for operating equipment
  • Must speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English
  • Must be able to write
